The two miniatures reproduced on the Cover are illustrations from a manuscript in Sharada Script dating back to the 15th Century and dealing exclusively with Kashmiri Music. The lower panel on the right hand side is a reproduction from the same Manuscript.
The upper panel on the right hand side is a reproduction from a Persian manuscript also dealing exclusively with Kashmiri Music and dating back to almost the same time. All these are reproduced by the kind Courtesy Sri Mohanlal Aima who has directed the music and is held as an authority in the Music of Kashmir.
